If you own a pair of AirPods Pro 3 you might be suffering from a strange static issue when listening to them. And you wouldn’t be the only one if you are.
MacRumors reports that some users are complaining of static-like sound issues when using the Active Noise Cancellation feature, although not all users are affected.

People describe the issue as being similar to white noise or rain-like sound when ANC is enabled. Others say they have the same problem when using Adaptive and Transparency modes, too.
OMG after one week of ownership I had to exchange my AirPods Pro 3. During a flight from NYC to Chicago I had a whistling/wind noise on my right Airpod the whole time. I reset, repaired, cleaned them and same thing. Hopefully this is not a widespread issue.
Some users found that the issue affects both earbuds, while others report that it’s worse in one ear than the other. Some also say that only one earbud is affected.

However, it’s important to remember that not all AirPods Pro 3 owners are affected by these issues, and it shouldn’t put you off buying a pair — especially if you live near an Apple Store and could easily return them should the issue persist.
That being said, we suggest taking out AppleCare+ if you’re at all worried about this impacting your own earbuds.
