Microsoft has just announced the pricing scheme of the Xbox 360 Slim + Kinect bundle. It costs an appropriate-but-still-slightly-expensive $399 in the United States and £300 in the UK.
Revealed unto the world recently at Apple’s Music Event (1st September), the new 4th-gen iPod touch has now been released! The folks over at Engadget were the first ones to review it and us here at RP jumped into it and snuck out a few interesting pieces from the review.
One of the new features in iOS 4.1 in the introduction of HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography for iPhone 4 users. With HDR option enabled in Camera app, you can take more detailed photos than what a normal photograph can show or capture. This feature basically takes three photos in quick succession, one properly exposed, one overexposed and one underexposed, and then combines all three to produce one single detailed photograph.
Google Doodles are getting better and better with every rendition. In the earlier days, all we got was static paintings inspired by that day’s special event. We’ve seen Google Doodles celebrating the birthdays of Da Vinci, Valentine’s Day, Earth Hour, Pac-Man and just recently Bucky Balls!
Microsoft has just premiered their first ad for the upcoming Windows Phone 7 platform. This teaser ad features Lawrence of Arabia theme and promises a lot of great things to come. According to the ad, “the revolution is coming”. Check out the video for yourself after the break.
As it stands today, our smartphones do just about everything we would want from a computer. They browse the internetz, take stunning images, send/receive emails, show us high-def videos, give us turn-by-frickin-turn voice-guided visual directions, check today’s special sex position (cause there’s an app for that!) and tons more shit that, if I start recalling, would take an eternity or two or document.
A new Cydia app by the name of Gridlock has been released which enables iPhone and iPod touch users to freely position icons anyway they want on their homescreen. With Gridlock, you no longer need blank icon apps which has these ugly shadows and you have to be careful not to tap on them by mistake. It gives you full freedom arrange your apps any way you like, as can be seen in the screenshots below.
Remember the iWatch concept images that we posted a few months back? While it was just a concept back then, you now have a change to bring it to real life by using the new iPod nano 6G which was only recently announced at Apple’s “Special Media Event” last week.
iPod touch 4G was announced only a few days back at Apple’s annual “Special Media Event” in San Francisco. Even though the new “touch” has got two cameras: one on the back for HD video recording and one on the front for FaceTime calls, 960 x 640 Retina Display and all, but the fact that the camera on the back can only take still shots at 0.7 megapixels was met with disappointment by many.
Finally! After a long wait, YourTube app has been updated to version 2.0, bringing full iOS 4.x support for jailbroken iOS devices including the support for iPhone 4 Retina Display and iPad. Not only can you now download YouTube videos on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, but you can now also import all your downloaded video in iPod app seamlessly! This new feature is dubbed as “Gremlin” and will also be available later for other Cydia apps such as Safari Download Manager and Attachment Saver.
