A powerful new tool from the Android developer community has been released today. It’s called CyanogenMod Compiler and it lets you cook your own special flavor of CyanogenMod 7 (based on Android 2.3.x) or CyanogenMod 9 (based on Android 4.x). Apple's launch of Siri certainly made people sit up and take notice. There had been voice recognition and dictation apps before, even Siri in its earliest incarnation was a standalone app that offered some of the features we all now take for granted from our iPhone 4S devices.

In the past month alone we have seen a number of popular applications accepted into the App Store and then subsequently be pulled from sale by Apple due to a breach of the guidelines.
The Android versus iOS debate will never end. The two operating systems have their die hard fans who will argue until they are blue in the face about why their chosen OS is better than its rivals. No matter which side of the fence you sit on, I'm sure any reasonable person can concede that each operating system has its plus points.
