Apple’s HomePod mini has been on sale for a week or so now and it seems to be doing well in terms of sales. At least, that’s what current shipping times would suggest.

If you order now there’s a good chance that you’re going to miss Christmas completely, with some delivery times stretching well into January.

The worst affected seem to be countries in Europe, with the UK having been showing a January delivery window for a week now. The United States fares somewhat better, but depending on which color you go for you might stills struggle to get one in time to gift it this holiday season.

However, there might be some light at the end of the tunnel if you happen to live near an Apple Store. The HomePod mini does seem to be available for collection in-store around the globe, although that depends which store you happen to live hear.

While some can get you a HomePod mini for same-day collection, others are quoting a few days lead time before they will be ready.

Whether this means that demand is sky-high or that Apple has struggled to get these things built in large enough quantities isn’t clear. But we do know this – getting a HomePod mini before 2021 rolls around is going to be a tough ask this holiday season, no matter where you happen to live.
