For this Memorial Day – May 25th – there are a handful of paid apps and games that have shed their usual price tags, and are now available for free. This is a limited time offer and it’s best you hurry up if you want to take good advantage of it.
Mayhem! ($0.99 – FREE / iPhone and iPad)
Set in the future, but dressed in retro styled graphics, Mayhem! is a fast and frenzied 2D arcade title that may eventually prove to be too difficult like most top arcade games.
Colorbs ($1.99 – FREE / iPhone and iPad)
A minimalistic design, and soft pastel colors define this never ending puzzler of a title. Mix and match orbs to progress through to the next levels, but obviously it’s not that simple.
Pumped BMX 2 ($3.99 – FREE / iPhone and iPad)
Successor to the hit Pumped BMX, this new stunt action based game brings in new levels and improved graphics over the older title, and some accurate physics as well.
Echo Prime ($0.99 – FREE / iPhone and iPad)
A sci-fi adventure given the strategy genre treatment, Echo Prime has some solid graphics and a wide variety of characters and gear to keep you busy with. Combat action is real-time, and users can make use of some intuitive touch controls.
Eden – World Builder ($0.99 – FREE / iPhone and iPad)
With its sandbox supported engine, users can create their own worlds and pretty much destroy it, improve it, and more. Think of this title as an alternative to Minecraft.
Get Moving ($0.99 – FREE / iPhone)
A comprehensive and brilliantly designed activity tracker for the iPhone 5s and above. Not active enough? No problem, Get Moving will measure that as well.
Magnetized ($2.99 – FREE / iPhone and iPad)
A beautiful physics based puzzler, the title’s design is minimal and abstract in nature. The game is currently Apple’s free App of the Week as well.
Notebox ($4.99 – FREE / iPhone and iPad)
A comprehensive note-taking app with an effective collecting, organizing and sharing function built right into it.
Rapture – World Conquest ($2.99 – FREE / iPhone and iPad)
This strategy based game is unlike anything you would have experience on the iOS platform. “Rapture: World Conquest accelerates centuries of global conflict into mere minutes for a super-fast strategy experience.”
Dark Parables: Rise of the Snow Queen ($2.99 & $6.99 – FREE / iPhone and iPad)
A hidden object adventure title, your mission is pretty simple and laid out here. A Snow Princess has called dibs on enslaving children in the nearby village, and you by no choice of your own, are to put an end to her reign of terror.
Ping Analyzer ($0.99 – FREE / iPhone and iPad)
A comprehensive ping tool which shows off a graphical representation of all statistics in real time. The app also contains a bunch of other network analysis tools.
