Apple’s iOS 17 beta 3 update is on the horizon, so when can you expect it to be available for download on your iPhone? We already had beta 1 during the WWDC week on June 5, and the second beta arrived more than two weeks later on June 21.

So based on that, when do we think that we can expect Apple to release iOS 17 beta 3?

Early on in Apple’s beta release schedules, we see the company drop a new update every two weeks, which is essentially what we saw happen with beta 2. The only difference is Apple moved the beta to a Wednesday release.

And that’s something that we can probably expect Apple to stick with from here on out, with a Tuesday or Wednesday developer beta drop followed by a public beta release a day or two later. Apple hasn’t yet released a public beta, but that’s likely to arrive at the same time as developer beta 3.

With all of that said, when will Apple drop the next betas? If we had to guess we’d say that the third developer beta to arrive on Wednesday, July 5 or Thursday, July 6. The very first public beta will also likely arrive that week as well.

Apple isn’t expected to make the iOS 17 update available to everyone until this September of course, and it’s the software that will power the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models when they go on sale in the same month.
