HBO Max Is Now Live And Available On Multiple Platforms Including iOS And Apple TV

The HBO Max streaming service went live today and all of Apple’s devices are along for the ride. That means iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV all have their own apps while the website is available to Mac users.

The new HBO Max service replaces HBO Now while offering first-party content as well as select shows and movies from Warner Bros and Turner TV.

It’s available to anyone who is already an HBO subsciber for free, but everyone else will need to pay $14.99 per month for the first 12 months. That doesn’t have any ads, but a future, cheaper streaming option is said to be in the works and that will be ad-supported.

This new direct-to-consumer experience features 10,000 hours of premium content including the entire HBO service; motion picture and TV series from Warner Bros.’ 100-year content collection; highlights from New Line; catalog titles from DC, CNN, TNT, TBS, truTV, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth and Looney Tunes Cartoons; a selection of classic films curated in partnership with TCM; along with a monthly offering of new Max Originals, guaranteeing something for everyone in the household.

The service is of course supported on a multitude of other devices as well, such as Android, Samsung Smart TVs (2016+), Chromecast, PS4, Xbox One, and of course via web on your PC or Mac.
