Download: Pokemon Go 1.27.4 / 0.57.4 Released, Here’s What Has Changed

You can now download the latest Pokemon Go update 1.27.4 for iOS and 0.57.4 for Android. Here’s what has changed in the latest update.

As mentioned, the latest update to the amazingly successful Pokemon Go is now live and in the relevant App Stores. Developer Niantic Labs has taken the game to version 1.27.4 and 0.57.4 for iOS and Android respectively, meaning tablet and smartphone owners can head over to the iOS App Store or Google Play Store and grab the latest updates right now to take advantage of the latest augmented reality experience.

As a company, Niantic Labs has already proven itself extremely capable when it comes to supporting, maintaining, and pushing the Pokemon Go experience forward.

Since its original launch, the title has had a multitude of updates and releases, resulting in an array of new features being added as well as a selection of minor improvements and patches to fix critical and non-critical issues. Those updates have ensured that Trainers continue to keep coming back to the game on a daily basis, but also that new players are enticed into downloading the title on the back of that support.

This latest release is yet another example of that continued commitment to progression, but is somewhat of an understated push compared to others of late, especially the recent Gen 2 update. Rather than taking the opportunity to introduce a ton of new features, the latest update to the iOS and Android versions of the game is purely about introducing very small, very minor fixes that should hopefully go someway to actually improving the overall experience for those using the game. Most recently, Niantic has focused on Android performance improvements to reduce loading times from launch, and it’s likely that there’s a continuation of that with the release although the accompanying changelog is simply defined as “minor text fixes.”

It’s typically the case that Niantic will push out some relatively small fixes and improvements whilst its engineers are working on something impressive behind-the-scenes. If that’s still the case, then it would potentially suggest that the next release should actually include something tangible for Trainers to sink their teeth into whilst interacting with the game.

For those with an iPhone, iPad, or a smartphone or tablet powered by the Android platform, the latest version of Pokemon Go is available to grab right now as a free update from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.
