Rockstar Games has just released three more trailers of its upcoming Grand Theft Auto 5 title, once again offering fans of the series a firsthand look at some of the stunning and visuals and animations set to make the cut for the September release. Despite the initial spring GTA 5 release date being pushed back considerably, Rockstar has done its utmost to keep everybody just as interested, and as well as these new teaser clips, the developer/publisher is also running a casting competition for five lucky winners to be featured in the game itself!
The teaser site for the next in the series of Call of Duty has gone live, presenting a dark background with a pixelated but still visible image of a ghost's mask. The new landing page, which can be found over at callofduty.com, signifies that an announcement of the forthcoming title is nigh, and with leaks indicating Ghosts as being a central theme to the next Call of Duty release, it doesn't appear as though avid fans of the series will have to wait too much longer to learn of specifics.
As you will probably have heard by now, Microsoft yesterday began sending invitations for its Xbox launch event on May 21st, but one person who wasn't surprised was Paul Thurrott. He initially said the announcement would be coming on April 24th, but later went on to note that plans had changed, and it would instead be unveiled on May 21st. As it transpired, the original date turned out to be the day the invitations were sent, and his revised information about the announcement proved to be right on the money.
The next big game in the Call of Duty franchise - Call of Duty: Ghosts - has leaked, over six months before it is due to go on sale.
In what must go down as a real coup for all couch potatoes, an official Pizza Hut app has just landed for the Xbox 360. What it means is, aside from nipping off to the bathroom, you won't actually need to leave your armchair for the entire weekend, provided it's one of those recliner chairs that allow you to quickly morph into a sleeping position. Notice how I didn't mention taking a shower? Let's just say, I have seen gamers on a binge, and aside from seldom being a pretty sight, the accompanying smells within a gamer's lair often do leave much to be desired.
If you've been keeping abreast of the brewing console battle between Sony and Microsoft, then it's likely that you are on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what the Redmond company will introduce with their next-generation Xbox. Sony has already let the cat out of the bag with the introduction of the PlayStation 4 back in February, and it looks like the Xbox unveiling isn't too far away with the originally planned April event being pushed back a few weeks to take place next month.
Microsoft has worked tirelessly over the past few years to try and turn its flagship Xbox 360 console into an all-round entertainment system. Once a hub for hardcore gamers to get their kicks, Xbox LIVE is now awash with various type of content, and adding to the ever-growing plethora of streaming media available comes something for wrestling fans worldwide to get reasonably excited about. World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) will now begin showing pay-per-view events to those with an Xbox LIVE Gold membership subscription, and although details are pretty scarce at this point, it's a pretty big coup for both parties involved. As gamers continue to wait anxiously for the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 after it was delayed from Spring until September, Rockstar Games has sought to keep fans interested by releasing an image of the box art set to grace the cover of the title when it does finally release. Although the game itself should be head and shoulders above previous iterations in terms of visuals and aesthetics, the cover is every bit similar to the ones we're used to seeing from the old PlayStation 2 days. As well as giving us a glimpse of the cover, the publisher / developer also released another batch of GTA V screenshots earlier as a reminder of just how pretty the title is going to be.

Last Summer, Electronic Arts announced Battlefield 4, and with the special event for the title having just been held, the company has released an incredible 17 minutes of in-game footage. It features plenty of combat, a preview of some of the weaponry, and stunning visuals offering a timely reminder of why gaming fans are looking forward to the next installment of the legendary first-person shooter franchise. The title is set to release this fall for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, and running on the Frostbite 3 engine, will evidently deliver a cutting-edge gaming experience.
