It seems everyone wants their own app store these days, and if these leaked screenshots are to be believed, Microsoft is no different.
With Windows 8 screenshots now starting to leak out, it was only a matter of time before the Windows modding community set about their task of bringing as many Windows 8 features to Windows 7 as possible. That process has begun with the release of TaskBar UserTile.
Early copies of Windows 8 are now beginning to reach the hands of Microsoft's OEM partners, according to WinRumors.
Now that the copies of Windows 8 Milestone 3 are available to testers, we have seen several Windows leaks even though Microsoft warns the testers politely through this wallpaper. I mean, if I were a tester, I'd definitely respect the creativity in that wallpaper. Courtesy of one of the liberal testers (in terms of leaking content), we have had yet another view of taskbar in Windows 8. Featured first at MDL (via Neowin), the image shows few more improvements in the upcoming Windows.
Microsoft is on the verge of the Milestone 2 completion of Windows 8 and there's already a leaked screenshot floating around the Internet from the next generation Windows.
Microsoft's next major release of its Windows operating system is one step nearer to its first beta release, according to site WinRumors.
The International Consumer Electronics Show 2011 (CES) will kick off today, commencing with the keynote address from Steve Ballmer, CEO Microsoft. I am personally a big fan of Windows 7 and find it impossible to even try and find faults with it. We are however gearing up for another release of a Microsoft Windows version, Windows 8 whose user interface is said to have been codenamed as “Wind”. Well atleast that’s what the reports are saying.
Windows 7 has been a powerful success for Microsoft. As an evolutionary upgrade to Vista, it patched almost all of Vista’s glaring holes: broken driver support, sluggish performance and the horribly annoying User-Account Control. It sold more than 240 million licenses in one year and its next release will, according to Ballmer, be Microsoft’s riskiest product bet yet.
We’re half way between the 3 year difference between Windows Operating Systems. The hype and rumor about Windows 7 is growing steadily, and it’s well known that Windows 7 will build on Windows Vista’s foundation. It’ll use the same driver model, provide a new native UI framework, use virtualization at a certain level, WinFX
