Microsoft Releases Brand New Outlook App For iOS And Android, Download From Here

Ben Reid·January 29, 2015
Although iOS, Android and Windows Phone all compete in the ongoing battle of the mobile platforms, it still makes sense for each of their respective vendors to create and maintain apps that serve a wider audience beyond their own ecosystems. Sure, Apple's only charitable donation to the Play Store and Windows Phone Store is the inherited Beats Music at this point, but Microsoft is a lot more generous in this regard, and adding to a fleet of utilities already available at the App and Google Play Stores, the software giant has just dropped an official Outlook app for both iOS and Android, which is actually a rebranded and toned up Acompli app that it acquired back in December of last year. Full details, as well as those all-important download links, can be seen after the leap.

Ben Reid·January 26, 2015
Wi-Fi hotspots are incredibly common nowadays, and you don't even have to be in the most built-up of areas to find a connectable router. But there are still those occasions where a hotspot cannot be found, or an apparently public network is closed off by means of a password, and rather than leaving you to ask around for those magical characters, there's an app that allows users to submit networks and passwords for the wider audience to utilize. Networks are plotted on a map, meaning you can move around towards nearby hotspots, and when you're within range, password details are provided on tap.
