PDF documents have become increasingly more popular over the last few years, yet there still isn't a good way to create them straight from an iOS device. To address this issue, Adobe has released CreatePDF, a small app that allows PDF documents to be created straight from any iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
Facebook For iPad App Could Be Released At Facebook’s 2011 f8 Developer Conference On September 22nd
If you're an avid Facebook developer, or just someone hoping to make more online friends, you might be pleased to learn that Facebook is holding its traditional developer event, known as "f8", on September 22nd in San Francisco. Out of the additions that might be introduced there, a Facebook client for the iPad seems to be the most obvious one.
If you're a fan of classic games, then this announcement is definitely meant for you; SEGA has just announced that its longtime favorite title, Sonic CD, will be making its way to all major consoles and smartphone platforms, ranging from the PlayStation 3 to the Xbox 360 to Windows Phone 7, Android and iOS.
Considering it was created in the image of an iPod, you would have thought that the iPhone series would have the iPod feature down to a tee. That hasn't turned out to be the case, with many users unimpressed with the music functions on a device which were derived from the world's most iconic portable music player.
One of the most well-known utilities that have been built into iOS from the very beginning is the Calculator app, which does a great job for basic calculations, and sometimes not-so-basic ones. Yet, sometimes we only wish that there was an easier and quicker way to perform calculations in iOS: if you have jailbroken your device, now there is.
Most iOS users wouldn't like to trade the user experience of their system with the one found in Android, yet it's often nice to experiment with new user interface paradigms. Android Delete is a new jailbreak tweak that allows iOS apps to be deleted from the Home Screen just like they can on Android launcher.
Another day, another handy tweak from the jailbreak community. If you keep track of the new releases from the BigBoss repo, you may already have stumbled across GravityLockScreen, which gives you an alternative way to unlock your device.
We all remember the days when we'd all gather around for a family picture, then we'd say a magic word such as "cheese" and snap a glorious image which we’d treasure later on. This same process is now being brought to iOS devices with a new app called ShutterVox.
Many sites these days require users to type in their email addresses in order to log in and register. On a traditional computer, it's acceptable, but not on a smartphone where every second of your time is valuable. Double At is a new jailbreak tweak that makes typing your own email address just that much easier.
One of the great mysteries of the iOS user experience is the lack of contact pictures in some apps, even when their use would make great sense. If you're like me, and you have a hard time identifying most people by name, so, sometimes it might be frustrating that many of the native iOS apps, such as Contacts and Messages, do not display contact images by default, unless you know a workaround.
