Bill Gates Really Wants You To Know He Doesn’t Use An iPhone

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has been talking about what phone he uses, saying that his daily carry is a Samsung Galaxy Fold 4.

And what’s more, the man who has more money than he knows what to do with didn’t even have to pay for it.

Gates says that he was given the foldable by the Chairman of Samsung to replace his older model — and he seems to be very happy with the way he can use it with his Microsoft apps including Outlook.

I have a Samsung Fold 4 which JY Lee the Chairman of Samsung gave me when I saw him in South Korea to update my Fold 3. Of course I use Outlook and a lot of Microsoft software on it. The screen size means I don’t use a tablet but just the phone and my portable PC – a Windows machine.

Gates didn’t go into any more details about why he chooses not to use an iPhone, but he’s already made it clear in the past that Android is his mobile operating system of choice. That shouldn’t be a huge surprise to most, with Android the closest analogy for Windows in the mobile space — it works on multiple devices and isn’t locked to any specific type of hardware.

The same obviously can’t be said for the iPhone and iOS, as is also the case for the Mac and its macOS software.
