We’re getting closer and closer to a stable Android port for the HP TouchPad - a webOS-based tablet which was discontinued less than two weeks ago. A new video has been released today which shows the HP TouchPad booting into CyanogenMod 7 which suggests that development of Android on HP TouchPad is coming along very nicely.

Exciting news for casual and serious gamers: A new game developed by some of the folks behind the popular Halo series of science-fiction action video games will be released next week for Apple’s iPad.
Netflix is a popular online on-demand streaming media service for the USA and Canada. Subscribers can stream thousands of movies and televisions shows on a variety of devices including the Xbox 360, iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Phone 7.
While I’m a bigger fan of Android than I am of iOS, I’ve found that iOS’ jailbreak community is a whole lot stronger as there is always a useful new tweak released every other day. This is, perhaps, partly due to the fact that there are only a handful of devices to work for instead of the endless amount of Android smartphones. Developing for iOS is relatively easier.

Due to Android’s relatively open nature, its users have what’s called the freedom of choice, something which, well, iOS fans do enjoy but to a lesser extent. Because of this, there are many alternatives available to pre-installed apps. One such pre-installed app which has way too many alternatives (which is a good thing) is the stock Browser; there are over a dozen alternate browsers out there for Android enthusiasts to try.

The news came as a big surprise leaving many devout Apple followers wondering about the future of Apple as an institute for innovation in digital and consumer electronics.
It is quite a popular question: “Why is the stock browser on Android called “Internet” instead of Chrome?”. While there is a logical answer to that, it appears that Google is now finally taking steps which may eventually lead to the Google Chrome branding being incorporated into Google Android.
Google has updated the Market app for Android today which brings some pretty major all-new features like the ability to +1 apps, use custom PIN code for purchasing apps, tapable app permissions and a settings menu for more options.
