Apple TV+ Shares 2nd Trailer For Upcoming Brad Pitt F1 Movie

Apple TV+ has shared a new, second trailer for the F1 movie that is set to arrive later this year.

The movie will be available to stream on the Apple TV+ service and will also get a theatrical release via Warner Bros. Pictures.

The movie, which stars Brad Pitt, is set to be a popular release thanks to its behind-the-scenes access to the real Formula One teams and more, thanks in part to its connection to former World Champion Lewis Hamilton.

The movie is directed by Joseph Kosinski, produced by Kosinski and Jerry Bruckheimer, with seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Chad Oman also credited as producers.

Dubbed “the greatest that never was,” Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) was FORMULA 1’s most promising phenom of the 1990s until an accident on the track nearly ended his career. Thirty years later, he’s a nomadic racer-for-hire when he’s approached by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), owner of a struggling FORMULA 1 team that is on the verge of collapse. Ruben convinces Sonny to come back to FORMULA 1 for one last shot at saving the team and being the best in the world. He’ll drive alongside Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), the team’s hotshot rookie intent on setting his own pace. But as the engines roar, Sonny’s past catches up with him and he finds that in FORMULA 1, your teammate is your fiercest competition—and the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone.

The movie also stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem. F1 is notable because it was filmed during real Formula One race weekends, giving it an authenticity that other movies may not have been able to claim.
