Apple Now Offering Discounted Refurbished iMac Pro, Here Are The Details

The original iMac Pro price-tag may have made your eyes water but that may not be the case anymore. As of now, Apple has officially started offering discounted iMac Pro models under its certified refurbished scheme, with discounts of up to 15% being offered.

As is always the case when a new product like iMac Pro hits the stores, certain third-party vendors take the opportunity to entice customers in with specific discounts and use the product almost as a loss-leader in order to get the business and then try and upsell additional products or services.

Those kinds of discounts have typically only applied to the entry-level iMac Pro, meaning that customers who want to sit at the higher end of the specification map would need to pay full price. This new initiative from Apple resolves that problem.

Consumers have long been able to purchase other refurbished hardware from Apple, such as iPhones, iPads, and even other Mac models. However, this is the first time that Apple has started offering up iMac Pro as part of this program, with discounts of up to 15% being available on models with 8, 10, or even 18-cores. The “certified refurbished” tag shouldn’t put you off, either.

Like all other hardware offered with this label, Apple’s iMac Pros will come with Apple’s standard warranty and can even have AppleCare applied for those who want some additional coverage. And, if you’re wondering how much discount that could potentially be, if you knocked 15% off the base iMac Pro model, you’d be saving a very nice $450.

Apply to the same saving percentage to the behemoth 18-core variant, and you’ll have an additional $1,440.00 sitting in your account rather than in Apple’s. It’s definitely a positive to see Apple offering this type of route to purchase iMac Pro but, like other certified refurbished hardware, stock levels are likely to deplete very quickly as Apple doesn’t have an endless inventory of these refurbished units.

If you have previously been in the market for one of Apple’s wonderful professional level iMacs, but couldn’t previously justify paying the full price, maybe this 15% discount will give you the kick that you need to jump into action? Check out the complete list below:
