Apple Music App Icon Just Got A Revamp With iOS 27.2

The fourth developer beta version of iOS 27.2 is now available for download, and it brings with it a newly revamped Apple Music app to iPhone owners. The new icon is black and white, replacing the previous red and white version.

When the iPhone is in light mode, the icon has a black musical note on a white background.

When the iPhone switches to dark mode, the colors invert to become a white musical note on a black background.

As MacRumors reports, the icon isn’t the only graphical change to the Music app for the iPhone.

Along with a new icon, the ‌Apple Music‌ app in iOS 27.2 beta 4 has blue highlights for the selected navigation bar icon rather than red, and text in the Music app’s settings also swaps red for blue.

The Apple Music widgets now also have a black background, rather than the previous red, which may hint at the removal of the previous red branding across the entire Apple Music platform and marketing materials.

The iOS 27.2 software update is currently only available in beta, but is expected to be released to the public before the end of October. The upcoming iPhone Duo will ship with iOS 27.1 preinstalled, but all other iPhones will skip that release and go straight to iOS 27.2 when it is released to the world.
