This Jailbreak Tweak Allows You To Change Default Browser On iPhone, iPad, iPod touch

If you’re a fan of third party iOS web browsers and are tired of manually opening links to avoid using Safari, then you’re in luck. Now there is a free jailbreak tweak that allows you to change the default web browser in iOS.

Unimaginatively named Browser Changer, the tweak is free and downloadable now via Cydia.

Once installed users can set the browser that will be opened when tapping links in emails and the like, as well as overriding the way Maps and YouTube are opened when tapping the relevant links.

This is a must have tweak for those of you who are a fan of Skyfire, PreBrowser, Droid Browser, Atomic Browser, CloudBrowse, or Opera Mini.

You will, of course, need to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch to install it. Follow our step by step guide posted here to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with Redsn0w on iOS 4.2.1 (or untethered with GreenPois0n RC5), or with Limera1n on iOS 4.1, or on iOS 4.3.1 with Redsn0w, PwnageTool 4.3 (untethered | tethered), or with Sn0wbreeze on Windows if you haven’t already.
