You Can Now Wear Apple’s Running Shoe Emoji

Jose Wong, an artist and designer, has transformed Apple’s iconic running shoe emoji into a real, wearable sneaker and you can grab a pair right now.

As reported by The Verge, the Shoe 1 has been released under Wong’s ABCD brand, is priced at $219.90 and comes in sizes 5 through 12. Orders will ship in about a week.

The sneakers are thoughtfully designed, combining style and comfort. The upper features a mix of full-grain nubuck leather and breathable mesh, while the lightweight EVA foam midsole and polyurethane rim provide a balance of cushioning and all-day support. To top it off, the outsole is crafted with 5% recycled rubber for an eco-conscious touch.

Inside, the foam insoles showcase a print inspired by internal electronics and the “A(BCD)5 processor,” a clever reference to Apple’s A-series chips used in its mobile devices. Even the packaging reflects Apple’s minimalist aesthetic. The box mirrors the clean design Apple fans know and love, making unboxing part of the experience.

The Shoe 1’s silhouette might seem familiar, as it resembles the New Balance 574 sneaker, first released in 1988. While Steve Jobs famously wore New Balance shoes, he was more often spotted in the 991 and 992 models.

If you’re a fan of blending tech-inspired fashion with a bit of nostalgia, the Shoe 1 might just be the perfect addition to your collection.
