T-Mobile Gives Us Best Look At Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge [Image]

As Mobile World Congress sneaks upon us with ever increasing vigor it’s not long now before we get to see Samsung’s next flagship smartphone at the Galaxy S6 announcement on March 1st. As time ticks away Samsung and its carrier partners are pushing their advertising departments into full swing trying to whip Android fans into a suitable frenzy.

Part of that calculated push to attract as many eyeballs as possible is T-Mobile’s special Galaxy S6 micro-site where it has today taken the covers off the device itself. At least, in a profile view.

Using the oh-so-obvious “Six Appeal” slogan, the micro-site shows us a Galaxy S6 Edge that clearly has the much rumored curved sides that look set to be the device’s crowning feature. Interestingly though, there is expected to be a flat version of the device too, so if the curved screen isn’t to your suiting you should be able to opt out.

Looking at the image in as much detail as you can something so small, it looks like the curved screen isn’t quite as severe as that on the Galaxy Note Edge from last year, leaving room for a power button on the side unlike the aforementioned Edge device.

With the official Galaxy S6 announcement just around the corner it’s only a matter of time before we can put all the rumors to bed for good. The curved screen is undoubtedly the most interesting aspect of the device, with the rest of the construction said to be decidedly Samsung-like, bar a possible wraparound rear panel that may or may not be removable. Given that people like to be able to swap batteries in and out these days, that may be one of the phone’s most important design decisions, even beyond that screen.

We’ll know for sure in a week!
