These $10,000 24K Gold AirPods Push The Boundaries Of Luxury

Apple’s AirPods may not be what most would call high end earphones, but they are arguably the best for most people in most situations purely because they’re truly wireless, can be charged in minutes and fit in that little pocket in your jeans, the purpose of which you don’t really know.

They’re not cheap at $159, but they really aren’t the most expensive earphones on the market either, that is, unless you buy this pair that cost $10,000.

If you think being charged $69 to replace one AirPods is bad, imagine what it would be like if you lost one of these!

Costing $10,000, made out of 24K gold, and lined with total 2.00 carats of perfect diamonds, this special set of AirPods is offered up by accessory company Brikk and may just be the shiniest pair of earphones we have ever seen. They’re certainly the most gold and whether that’s your cup of tea or not, there’s no denying the fact that the AirPods and matching charging case are eye catching.

Brikk is, of course, not the only company slapping expensive gold on top of Apple’s devices. The iPhone has a long history of being customized in such a way that most sane people would never consider spending money on the end result, but there’s currently an iPhone X available in 22K gold for a starting price of a hair under $50,000. If that doesn’t make your eyes water, then nothing will!
