Tesla Cuts Prices Of Model 3 And Model Y Internationally

Tesla has reduced the price of some Model 3 and Model Y vehicles across the world, with France, Germany, and Norway among the beneficiaries.

However, while there were cuts almost across the board, Norway actually saw the cost of a Model Y Long Range go up by 2.11%.

Tesla says that the changes were brought about by an increase in production scaling, allowing it to cut costs.

Electrek suggests that this is related to the Gigafactory in Berlin recently reaching a production milestone that saw the company build 5,000 vehicles per week. That’s a big improvement over the previous 3,000 vehicles that were being built weekly at the end of last year.

Tesla had already cut the price of some of its cars in the United States and China, with these changes now taking place in some parts of Europe as well as Singapore and Israel.

The biggest change was for the Model 3 Performance which saw a €6,000 discount from €59,990 to €53,990 in France and the Netherlands. The same discount kicked in for German buyers although the overall cost is still $1,000 more than the other European countries.
