Unlock iPhone 3.1.3 Firmware

After releasing an update to iTunes (version 9.0.3) yesterday, Apple today has announced the new iPhone 3.1.3 Firmware for iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch. One thing which is to be noted here is that this isn’t the same version which runs on the newly release Apple iPad (OS 3.2). If you currently rely on your unlock for iPhone 3G and 3GS, we highly recommend you not to upgrade to this new iPhone OS 3.1.3 unless and until new tools are made available from the likes of George Hotz and the infamous iPhone DevTeam. Upgrading to iPhone OS 3.1.3 now may result in your device getting potentially locked forever.

Apple today has released the new iPhone 3.1.3 firmware for iPhone and iPod touch. This release is just a minor upgrade over the last firmware and it mostly brings stability and bug fixes for iPhone 3GS, 3G, 2G and iPod touch. Interestingly, this (version 3.1.3) isn’t the same version which runs on the newly released Apple iPad (OS 3.2).

Apple today has unexpectedly released the new iPhone 3.1.3 firmware for iPhone 3G/3GS and iPod touch. This is not the same version which runs on the newly announced Apple iPad (OS 3.2). To update to iPhone OS 3.1.3 Firmware, all you will have to do is to connect your iPhone with your computer via usb and start iTunes. You should now see a message as shown below. Simply click on “Download and Install” button to get on to the new iPhone OS 3.1.3 firmware.
