People take privacy on Facebook very, very seriously, and for good reason. You don't want people seeing things that you thought were private, or a larger group of people seeing something that you though was only visible to a select few.
Apple's iPad was famously called 'magical' by more than a few of Apple's executive team, and after using one for 18 months, it's hard to disagree.
Last week, a new sort of jailbreak for iOS 5 popped up in the form of a Cydia package – named SemiTether – which you could install after performing a tethered jailbreak using Redsn0w/Sn0wbreeze. This package, once installed, would allow users to reboot their tethered-jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with limited functionality without having to connect your device to a computer. SemiTether has received a big update today and it is what we’ll be talking about in this post.
The developers and hackers from the iPhone jailbreaking community sure are a talented bunch of people. Despite reports of Siri being incompatible with older iOS devices because of them “not having suitable hardware”, these folks took up the challenge of making Siri work on these devices and, if today’s news is anything to go by, they have successfully completed that challenge.
Apple's latest big thing is undoubtedly Siri, the digital assistant locked deep inside the new iPhone 4S. As soon as people began getting their hands on the iPhone 4S and, more specifically, Siri, they started to ask her (or him) increasingly random questions, just to see what the response was.
While Android had support for folders since the very start, iOS only got them in 2010 with iOS 4. The third OS in the so called “three-horse race” - Windows Phone 7 - still doesn’t have any folder functionality but a homebrew solution has emerged today and it is what we’ll be talking about in this post.
As simple a service as Twitter may be, sending out tweets isn’t. On iOS, you have to launch a Twitter app, tap a button to activate the tweet-input box, face unnecessary information and, finally, tap the Send button.
Siri has finally been ported over to older iOS devices and, unlike last time, there is a way you can install it right now. If you’re interested, you can follow the guide after the jump!
With iOS 5 bringing a lot more sophistication to the experience of using an iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, we can only but hope that the jailbreak community does likewise, upping the ante in order to really take advantage of the new options available within Apple's latest mobile OS.
There are three things that are guaranteed in life: death, taxes, and a new iPhone suffering poor battery life.
Reports of less than stellar iPhone 4S battery life have been circulating for the last couple of weeks now, with early adopters once again acting like guinea pigs for those clever enough to hold of buying the latest and greatest tech toys.
