The Galaxy S4 is just a week or two away depending on which carrier you associate yourself with and whereabouts you reside, and the excitement is certainly increasing as the launch dates draw ever nearer. To give prospective owners an idea of what accessories will be available from the get-go, maker Samsung has drawn up a detailed list of all the device's launch accessories and peripherals, including the Flip Cover, Spare Battery Charging System, and Smart Dock.
There's been a significant amount of chit-chat regarding third-party mail apps on the iOS App Store. The original pretender to the throne was the Sparrow app that began life on OS X before being migrated across to iOS and then ultimately snapped up by Google who promptly stopped development of the project. We've since had the Mailbox app that managed to generate an interest from millions of users, and more recently, we've seen the Mail Pilot offering that may cost a lot but also brings a new way of looking at email in a minimalist and clean interface. I've attempted to use all of the above mentioned apps as my primary email clients on the iPhone, but always end up falling back on Apple's native offering on iOS 6.
Over the last few months, many current and prospective smartphone users have had their eyes sharply focused on the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Korean company’s new Android smartphone. As expected, the new handset will be available on a wide range of retailers and carriers in the US, Samsung has now confirmed. In addition to major phone carriers, such as AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, the handset will also be available from a number of lesser-known networks, namely US Cellular, Cricket and C Spire; as well as a number of retailers such as Best Buy, Radio Shack, Sam’s Club, Staples, Target and Wal-Mart.
The iPhone 4 is considered by many as the biggest leap in the advancement since the Apple smartphone's inception back in 2007. A completely overhauled, high-end design was accentuated further by the introduction of the Retina display, and belatedly perhaps, the camera was given an uber-bright LED flash. A complete win. Typically of Apple, the flash feature felt slightly unfinished, since while some apps allow the LED to operate in torch mode prior to the taking of a snap, Apple's native Camera app does not offer this facility. Luckily, there's a tweak for that, and it goes by the name of PhotoTorch.
There is no doubt about the fact that battery is one of the most important aspects of any mobile device. A device can be the most beautiful, elegant creation in the world and contain some of the most advanced features that we have seen in the mobile game, but if the battery doesn't last five minutes then the whole design process has been in vein. Apple's iOS devices do a fairly good job of keeping the user informed of the current battery level through a tidy little icon and optional percentage indication, but for those jailbroken users who want to make a little aesthetic tweak then the Live Battery Indicator package could be the solution.

As well as offering an abundance of eternally useful tweaks which enhance functionality and general usability of an iOS device, the Cydia Store is also full of apps, tweaks and themes aimed at changing the way things look and behave. More often than not, these kinds of mods serve little purpose other than to make things appear a tidbit nicer, but since there's nothing wrong with the odd aesthetic touch-up, many jailbreakers seek to explore these avenues. If you're the kind of individual that likes to tinker about with themes and such, you may wish to try JellyLock, a highly customizable tweak which borrows much from the look of Android Jelly Bean's exterior interface.
HP's cult favorite webOS may have been essentially killed off by the large computer firm before being sold on to LG, but its presence is certainly still felt in the mobile world. One of the nice aesthetic elements of the company's short-lived operating system was the rounded corners, but even with a thriving community like Android's, a replication of that stylish look has not really manifested itself since. If you always wanted to see what your handset's display might look like with rounded corners, you may want to check out a little app / mod by the name of RoundR.

It has been almost two months since Sony announced its next-gen PlayStation 4 games console, but despite being two months closer to its forecast Q4 launch, we still don't appear to be any closer to knowing what it will look like, or how much it's going to cost. An interesting interview run by Edge magazine by Sony Worldwide Studios Vice President Michael Denny reveals that Sony may at least have learned from the error of its pricing of the PlayStation 3, and wants to find a price point with the PS4 that appeals not only to hardcore gaming fanatics, but also gamers "in the broadest sense."
