After years of waiting, fans of the Apple TV and HomePod mini may finally have new versions of those devices available to buy. That’s according to a new report that claims both are “nearly ready to go.”
That’s according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who believes that a new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini are almost here, after being ready “for months”. Apple has reportedly held off the release of both products so that it could improve Siri, however.

“I am told the hardware for the next Apple TV set-top box and HomePod mini has been done for months and that both devices are already in active use among employees at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California,” Gurman said via his Bloomberg piece.
Both devices have been long overdue a refresh. The current Apple TV 4K launched in October 2022, while the HomePod mini was released in 2020. Now, it’s thought that both are about to receive new hardware upgrades.
Along with the new Apple TV, it’s now said that the Siri Remote will also be “refreshed in some form.”
As for timing, it’s unlikely that Apple will release the new hardware until later in the year, likely this fall. That’s when the newly upgraded Siri is expected to be released to the public, and it’s believed that upgrade is what’s been holding the new Apple TV and HomePod mini back.
