iPhone SE (4th Gen) Name Confirmed In New Leak, Could Get Dynamic Island

A new iPhone SE appears to be close to release. Well-known leaker Evan Blass recently shared a clue—a piece of source code that mentions the “iPhone SE (4th Gen).”

While this challenges the rumored “iPhone 16E” name, it’s unclear if the mention is final or just a placeholder.

Blass also shared an image of the rumored iPhone SE, showing a big upgrade: a Dynamic Island instead of the traditional notch. So far, this feature is only on higher-end iPhones like the 14 Pro, 15, and upcoming 16 models.

Rumors suggest the new iPhone SE will look like the base iPhone 14 or iPhone 16, with a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, a USB-C port, and a single 48-megapixel rear camera.

It’s also expected to pack a newer chip, 8GB RAM for better performance, and Apple’s first 5G modem. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, it might launch in March or April 2025, following the same timeline as previous SE models.

Currently, the iPhone SE looks like the older iPhone 8, with Touch ID and thick bezels. Starting at $429, the next model will likely see a price bump. Blass also hinted at updates for the iPad Air and entry-level iPad, expected this spring with no major design changes.
