iOS 18.3 Final Changelog And Release Notes For iPhone

Here are iOS 18.3 final version changelog and release notes that come straight from Apple for iPhone users.

As you may already know by now, Apple today released RC version of iOS 18.3 to developers ahead of final version release which will likely be released to consumers next week.

Since RC version is usually the same build which is released to general public, we believe today’s release notes that accompany the RC version will remain same for final build released next week.

While many anticipated iOS 18.3 update to incorporate the third-wave of Apple Intelligence features, it appears that Apple has delayed their inclusion to the iOS 18.4 release. Instead, the company is prioritizing refining the quality and addressing bugs in the 18.3 release.

Apple’s iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 introduce some changes, particularly in Apple Intelligence Notification Summaries. Notably, news-related summaries have been temporarily removed due to false positives generated by the feature. Apple plans to reinstate this feature in a future iOS update.

Without further ado, here are official iOS 18.3 release notes from Apple:

Visual intelligence with Camera Control (All iPhone 16 models)

  • Add an event to Calendar from a poster or flyer
  • Easily identify plants and animals

Notification summaries (All iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max)

  • Easily manage settings for notification summaries from the Lock Screen
  • Updated style for summarized notifications better distinguishes them from other notifications by using italicized text as well as the glyph
  • Notification summaries for News & Entertainment apps are temporarily unavailable, and users who opt-in will see them again when the feature becomes available

This update includes the following enhancements and bug fixes:

  • Calculator repeats the last mathematical operation when you tap the equals sign again
  • Fixes an issue where the keyboard might disappear when initiating a typed Siri request
  • Resolves an issue where audio playback continues until the song ends even after closing Apple Music
