Download This Unofficial Super Mario Game For iOS Before It Gets Pulled By Apple [Update]

You can now download an official Super Mario game for iOS called Stars Utopia which has sneaked into the App Store and will be pulled by Apple anytime. Here are the details.

Do you remember the superhero in blue overalls that was an almost ever present during your childhood? Do you remember Apple CEO Tim Cook introducing legendary Nintendo developer Shigeru Miyamoto during Apple’s iPhone 7 event in order to announce the wonderful Super Mario Run title, coming soon to iOS?

This isn’t the first time that a budding developer has taken the opportunity to capitalize on a high interest launch, and it certainly won’t be the last.

With that said, it still does manage to amaze us how easy it seems to slip something by Apple’s App Store Review Team, especially when it packs a gameplay based on characters that are clearly the property of Nintendo. Still, the average iPhone and iPad owner won’t be complaining as they get access to a relatively fun and fast-paced title that is based around more than 100 well-known and instantly recognizable characters from the Nintendo world.

In addition to interacting with Super Mario, gamers will get the adorable Yoshi who is perfect for attacking multiple enemy units at any given time. Luigi also makes an appearance in the game with a specific skill set that makes it easy for the green plumber to attack a vertical row of enemies. There’s also appearances by Bowser, Donkey Kong, captain SAMA and many other beloved Nintendo characters that instantly look at home in the gorgeous 3D environment that’s been built into this crazy Stars Utopia iOS experience.

The first thing to remember here is that if you’re actually interested in this type of game and interaction with Super Mario before the official title launches this coming December 15th, then you really need to grab this download before Apple realizes what’s happened, and before Nintendo issues a cease and desist notice for the unlicensed use of multiple characters from the Nintendo universe.

The game is available as a free download for both iPhone and iPad.

Update x1: That was fast, looks like Apple has removed it from the App Store!
