George Hotz’ dramatic re-entry into the iOS jailbreaking scene has left many surprised, and certain people shattered (pun intended). In the hailstorm of all this iOS 4.1 jailbreaking news, jailbreak developer iH8Sn0w has announced that he will be releasing a new version of Sn0wbreeze for Windows (similar to PwnageTool for Mac) which will be based on Limera1n’s bootrom exploit.
Great news for iPhone unlockers! It seems like Sherif Hashim has managed to crash the new 05.14.02 and 2.10.04 baseband which can ultimately lead to an unlock for iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2 for both iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 users.
Limera1n has been unleashed to the world! It can jailbreak pretty much all the current iOS devices running iOS 4.1. This includes iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad and iPod touch 4G / 3G.
Limera1n has been released for all iOS devices including: iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G / 3G, iPad running iOS 4.1, and iOS 3.2.2 respectively. Limera1n is currently available for Windows only, however a Mac and Linux version will be available soon.

He has been out for months, but his return is surely going to please everyone, specially the 3rd-generation iPhone and iPod touch owners who were left out by SHAtter based GreenPois0n.

In an unexpected turn of events, the lemon drop image on Limera1n.com is now pointing towards a image which is showing all iOS devices, including those which are not supported by the upcoming GreenPois0n tool as jailbroken.
Redsn0w 0.9.6 is now available for Windows. You can use it to jailbreak iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G on iOS 4.1. If your iPhone 3G relies on Ultrasn0w unlock, stay away from Redsn0w as it updates your baseband to the latest version, making it impossible (for now) to unlock.
Even though Chronic Dev Team hasn’t announced the tethered status for the SHAtter based GreenPois0n tool yet, but if this tweet from the well known Cydia developer is anything to go by, GreenPois0n is most likely going to be an untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPad, iPod touch 4G and Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.1.
