Apple has approached the federal government to help stop hackers from jailbreaking the iPhone, reports NBC.

An unofficial version of PwnageTool has just been released which allows you to jailbreak the recently released iOS 4.3 beta firmware. Currently, the jailbreak is supported on iPhone 4 only. Support for other devices will follow soon.
As we reported before, iOS 4.3 Beta has added several multi-touch gestures for the iPad. This feature is not enabled by default, and thus needs to be enabled manually. As this is a Beta version of iOS 4.3, this specific feature needs to be enabled via Xcode on you Mac.

So if you upgraded to iOS 4.3 beta, and now you want to downgrade back to iOS 4.2.1 or 4.1, follow the instructions posted below to downgrade iOS 4.3 on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch and iPad to iOS 4.2.1, 4.1, 4.0.x.
