A new and updated version of the extremely popular CarrierCrack tweak has been released. Now with support for jailbroken devices running iOS 11, the new CarrierCrack release opens up the door to an array of carrier-related goodies for those linked to the T-Mobile network in the United States.

CarrierCrack is one of those long-standing tweaks that a large subset of the jailbreak community looks forward to.

It’s not like other packages in the fact that it offers universal compatibility with devices in the form of an entertainment installation or something that extends or modifies the iOS ecosystem. CarrierCrack is solely limited to those who are running the supported firmware on a supported device and who are receiving their network connectivity via T-Mobile.

It’s highly likely that additional networks will be supported going forward, if and when possible, but, for now, CarrierCrack is a T-Mobile special. For those who are fortunate enough to be running a jailbroken supported device on iOS 11 and contracted to T-Mobile, installing CarrierCrack will invoke functionality such as unlimited hotspot, boosted cell signal, dramatically enhanced data speeds, LTE only mode, the unlocking of different toggle menus, and much, much more.

For a lot of users, the free tethering and hotspot functionality is a game changer. As is the LTE prioritization and the ability of the device to hold LTE signals more effectively. Device owners who use mobile data a lot, and who want to share that mobile data with a laptop or other device on the move, will immediately see the value in the $2.99 CarrierCrack purchase. And that is important to note; that this tweak is a commercial offering, priced at just $2.99, and does require Cydia Substrate on the device and will not work with the Substitute offering which ships with Electra.

If you want to avoid constant boot loops and aggravation then we would recommend against even trying to install this alongside a jailbreak with Substitute. Available immediately, CarrierCrack for iOS 11 now supports iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6s, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, and iPhone X, all running iOS 11. Given there is no jailbreak for iOS 12, CarrierCrack does not yet support that firmware or iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max.
