These Emojis Could Ship With iOS 18 Later This Year

Apple is expected to release the iOS 18 iPhone software update later this year and while all of the talk right now is about what new AI features we should expect, the company will also likely add some new emojis as part of the release.

That’s the norm for Apple’s annual software updates and this year is unlikely to be any different. Now, the Unicode Consortium has previewed the new emojis that we can expect to debut with iOS 18.

The new emojis will all make their way to other platforms in due course as well, but these are the ones that we expect to be included with iOS 18 and Apple’s other big software updates.

  • fingerprint
  • leafless tree
  • root vegetable
  • harp
  • shovel
  • splatter

Apple is strongly expected to preview the iOS 18 software update this coming June 10 during the WWDC event before making it available for public download this fall.

That’ll likely happen in September alongside the release of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models, too.

The iOS 18 update is expected to bring big new Apple AI features to the iPhone, but it won’t be the only new software for Apple fans to install. New updates are also expected to be released for the iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
