Apple has just pushed a minor update for the second-generation Apple TV owners. While there is no official change log yet, this update seems to be minor, mainly released to fix bugs and security loopholes.

Apple in the United Kingdom has launched a special offer (with a catch) as part of their Christmas 2010 special giveaway. iTunes’ European customers can download free movies, music, music videos, apps, books, and TV episodes from iTunes.
The folks over at KnowYourMobile have got their hands on the upcoming Mortal Kombat game for the iPhone. Dubbed as the Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, the game offers all the fighters from the original series, along with single player arcade mode. You can also play it with your friends using multiplayer mode over a WiFi or a Bluetooth connection.
Originally available as a web app only, the official Google Latitude app for iPhone is now finally available for download in the iTunes App Store. For those of you don’t already know, Latitude helps you see where your friends are right now. It also helps you stay in touch with your friends and family by making it easy to share where you are by seeing each other visually on a map.
A new bookmarklet by the name of iOSFlashVideo has been released which allows iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users to watch Flash videos from sites such as Megavideo, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Flickr Video etc. right from the Safari browser (via native iOS media player).
One of the things that I find annoying when downloading apps from the App Store is that it closes right after you start downloading an app. This behavior not only hampers the otherwise great experience, but it also slows things down as you have to reopen App Store again and again after every purchase until you are done with your app shopping.
Time Magazine today has published its list of “The Top 10 Everything of 2010” in which they have picked up Apple’s iPad as the winner for their “Top 10 Gadgets” of the year award. The three other Apple products that made TIME’s Top 10 2010 gadgets list were: 11-inch MacBook Air (3rd place), iPhone 4 (6th place) and Apple TV (7th place).
