Over the last few generations of iOS, we have seen Apple adding a bunch of new and useful features in the Accessibility options. It seems that they aren't taking their foot off the gas just yet, with iOS 7 beta introducing a number of new device control methods for those who may need to interact with their devices using head-based gestures.

The dramatic overhaul that comes in the form of iOS 7 beta has definitely received split opinion. Adding Control Center to the in-beta iOS means that users can now quickly access commonly used system toggles from anywhere, which is an extremely handy option to have. However, it isn't just iOS users who get the quick access treatment, with Mac users now able to have a similar setup thanks to the third-party Fast Toggles set of utilities. iOS 7 beta 2 download for iPhone 5, 4S, 4 and iPod touch 5 has been released. More details can be found here.
iOS 7 is significant because it marks the beginning of a new journey where the Cupertino company must once again prove that their vision for the software is just, and in line with modern mobile software. One of the main overhauls in terms of native apps was seen in the Photos app, but it also seems that users can get a taste of that experience by using the Photoful app from PhotoSocial LLC.
It may seem like an eternity ago when we watched Apple lift the covers off the radically redesigned iOS 7 at this year's WWDC, but let's be honest with ourselves here - we're all still talking about it. Whether our opinions are largely positive, negative or remain neutral; the fact remains that Apple is embarking on a journey of rebirth when it comes to iOS. The introduction of iOS 7 saw a number of existing jailbreak tweaks become null and void, but developer Evan Swick can think himself lucky that his new NativeQR package is still relevant and hasn't been Sherlocked by Apple's creative teams.
The Surface RT was released with a great deal of excitement, and although it has been spoken of positively by many corners, it's still yet to find itself a firm place in the iPad dominated tablet industry. In an effort to change the fortunes of the Surface RT, sources familiar with Microsoft's internal plans are suggesting that the Redmond company are planning on launching a new variant of the tablet, but this time choosing Qualcomm Inc. as their preferred processor suppliers.
After numerous rumors and intense speculation, Microsoft's fantastic and extremely popular Office package has managed to find its way onto the iPhone. The package, which landed on Apple's App Store today, is a mobile optimized companion app that has been built from the ground up to provide access to the loved Office suite of applications directly from an iPhone. This is a fairly notable release by the Redmond company and has been expected for some time, but for some reason has managed to come with minimal fuss and a distinct lack of celebration.
It may be controversial, but iOS 7 does have a large number of fans, and if you are one of those, but don't have access to a developer account, then the next best thing would be applying a WinterBoard theme to bring the look and feel of the iOS 7 beta icons to iOS 6 - well, to the home screen, at least.
It's been rumored for quite some time that both Microsoft and Sony would be hitting the shelves with their next-generation consoles this holiday season, but today's slip from Danny Isaac all but confirms the planned release time for the Redmond company's new gaming console.
Over the last few years, we've had to come to get our heads around the fact that we live in a world that is pretty much permanently connected by technology. We can pick up our iPhone and make a FaceTime call to a loved one on the other side of the world. We can launch the App Store and download a spirit level or tax calculator app that can get us out of a tight spot immediately. We can even unlock our front doors thanks to connectivity between Bluetooth low energy devices. If that wasn't enough for you, then it seems that we can now also order convenience food to be delivered directly to us on top of an iPad powered quadrocopter.
