Apple has just released a new 4.2.2 software update (based on iOS 4.3) for the second generation Apple TV. This release contains various bug fixes and improvements over the last release.

To update your Apple TV, from Settings –> General , hit “Update Software”, followed by “Download and Install” to get to the latest build.
Optionally, you can also download the firmware file from the link given below and update Apple TV using iTunes.
