Apple Releases Beta 2 Of macOS 13.4, watchOS 9.5, And tvOS 16.5

Apple has today released the second beta of watchOS 9.5, tvOS 16.5, and macOS 13.4 to developers, allowing them to test their apps against the new software.

While Apple hasn’t yet confirmed it, we expect the watchOS 9.5, tvOS 16.5, and macOS 13.4 updates to be released to the public within the next few weeks.

These betas allow developers to make sure that their apps and services work as expected once that happens. We also expect the public beta program to get this new release within days as well.

The new betas of watchOS 9.5, tvOS 16.5, and macOS 13.4 mean that Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Mac developers now have the latest beta to test while also informing Apple of any issues that they might discover.

It’s still early days for watchOS 9.5, tvOS 16.5, and macOS 13.4 and we’ve yet to come across any big new changes, especially in this second round of betas.

The three updates now available for download include:

  • macOS Ventura 13.4 beta 2 with build number 22F5037d
  • watchOS 9.5 beta 2 with build number 20T5538d
  • tvOS 16.5 beta 2 with build number 20L5538d

Registered developers can download the new updates now, and we’d always suggest that they only be installed on devices that are dedicated to development rather than anything that is mission-critical. Apple works to make sure that these updates aren’t riddled with bugs, but that doesn’t mean that it’s always successful in doing it.
