Following months of expectation that Apple would debut its upgraded, more personal Siri with iOS 26.4, a new report claims that those features have now been delayed.
Apple first said that it would revamp Siri back in 2024, but its launch has continually been delayed amid Apple Intelligence debacles and other AI failures.

Now, Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman says that Apple could choose to delay the new Siri until iOS 27.
After planning to include the new capabilities in iOS 26.4 — an operating system update slated for March — Apple is now working to spread them out over future versions, according to people familiar with the matter. That would mean possibly postponing at least some features until at least iOS 26.5, due in May, and iOS 27, which comes out in September.
Apple has yet to publicly confirm when the new Siri will ship, it had previously said that it would arrive this year. Of late, the company’s iOS 26.4 update has been the expected release window — but that now seems unlikely.

Gurman notes that there are some features more likely to miss the expected launch window than others. Apple’s upgraded Siri sits at the top of that list.
The new Siri is expected to offer users new ways to interact with their devices and was boosted by the news that Apple has signed a deal with Google to use its Gemini AI model.
