Latest iPhone Fold Leak Includes Display Size And More

Apple has long been rumored to be working on a new, foldable iPhone and a new leak appears to have detailed what that phone will offer.

Leaked specifications include data on the so-called iPhone Fold’s display, cameras, and more.

According to the leak, which comes from Digital Chat Station on the Weibo Chinese social network and via 9to5Mac, Apple’s first foldable iPhone will feature a 7.58-inch foldable display. This means that the phone will open like a book to reveal an iPad mini-like display.

Digital Chat Station says that the hinge that handles the folding will be made of a composite material of durable but amorphous glass. It’s important to note that this is translated to English, so the phrasing may be slightly incorrect.

The leak goes on to suggest that the iPhone Fold will have two 48-megapixel rear cameras while the overall construction will feature a titanium material, perhaps similar to that already used on Apple’s modern iPhones.

The most notable part of this leak is the 7.58-inch display size, which is slightly smaller than previous rumors. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had suggested previously that the iPhone Fold would sport a 7.8-inch display, but it’s possible that these differences could still refer to the same display depending on borders and any display hidden by the frame of the device.
