Apple is celebrating holiday season with its annual 12 Days of Christmas event in which they will be giving away loads of great apps, songs, movies, music and TV shows. Details after the jump!
Apple’s offers for 12 Days of Christmas formally starts today on December 26th and ends on January 6th. Each of their offers will be available for a 24 hour period only and, keeping that in mind, Apple has released an app for the event so that folks with an iPod touch, iPhone or iPad and access their gifts on the go.
Today, Apple is giving away video and audio tracks from Coldplay.

You and your friends can download a fantastic selection of songs, music videos, apps and books for free. Each download will only be available for 24 hours. Get our special 12 Days of Christmas app to make it even easier to access your gifts while you’re on the go.
Those of you who do not have an iOS device will still be able to get the items Apple puts on discount. Just be sure to log in to the App Store from iTunes on December 26th.
If you do actually have an iOS device and like free stuff (who doesn’t, really?), then this app is an absolute must-have!
From what we’ve heard, apps like Soundhound Infinity will be one of the apps on the list. Soundhound is a popular song-catching app that recognizes songs from samples you record. A great way to get info on the songs which you like but you don’t know of.
We hope to see some great giveaways at the event. Although I’m sure Apple will never get to hear this, but when it comes to giving away apps, they should try to list apps that are good quality but not-so-popular. Giving away apps like Angry Birds would be boring.
