OpenAppMkt: A New Open iPhone App Store Which Doesn’t Require Jailbreak

While there are many third-party iPhone App Stores like Cydia around, the problem with them is that they all require jailbreaking of iPhone, which even though has gone 100 percent legal isn’t something which every iPhone user will do. Comes in OpenAppMkt, a new web-based third-party app store for all iOS based devices which consists of apps, completely written in HTML format. OpenAppMkt runs in browser and installation of apps simply require a simple tap on: "add to home" button.

Apps that aren't stored on the phone and require and Internet connection. Oh and no access to native iOS API's.

Would register on Openappmkt, but the want a phone number. Why would they need a phone number? Sounds fishy…I will pass on Openappmkt for now.

It not only not require jailbreak, it also stops people with jailbroken iDevices opening it!

Well apparently it's a bug in pwnagetool and snowbreeze. doesn't allow opening any safari added to homescreen badges
hope limerain or spirit v2 comes out soon lol

Seems to work fine with iPhone 4 and 4.01. There are not a lot of applications in there yet, but this is hopeful. Most of us would be looking for things like MCleaner, iBlacklist and MyWi, of course. Google Voice takes longer to load than expected because of the advertising blurb. Installs fine and multi-tasks, remains in memory as it should, but takes too long to load simply and completely because of advertising blurb.

I have installed it on my jb 3g iphone. Fast and easy. But i think this is not application software, just like putting a bookmark on your iphone. Because internet line is required for running any application here. Seems you are playing on-line game when running the application.
