This Is Our First Look Inside The Cybertruck’s Frunk

Tesla is getting closer and closer to making the Cybertruck available to buy, albeit to a limited number of people initially.

Part of that process requires that the truck be tested and that process appears to have given us our first look at the truck’s frunk.

Electrek notes that a photo posted to the Cybertruck Owners Club forum — ironic considering nobody has been able to buy one yet — shows the truck with its frunk open for the first time. And it doesn’t look to be very big at all. Especially when compared to the competition.

As shown in the last video, the opening is indeed rather shallow. It’s smaller than some other frunks we’ve seen lately – smaller than the F-150 Lightning’s huge opening, not as long as the Escalade IQ’s, and it may be less deep than the Rivian’s (though this is harder to tell from the photo).

Thankfully, it does appear that loading things into the Cybertruck’s frunk will be easy. There is no ridge or anything to lift items over, although they’re unlikely to be big enough to be too heavy considering the size of that storage area. Still, it’s a positive to be sure. Especially compared to others like the Rivian which has a large area that items need to be lifted over.

Ultimately, it’s unlikely hat anyone considering the Cybertruck will be put off buying one because of the small frunk. There’s a bad at the back, after all. And it’s more likely that the frunk will just be used for things like storing a bag or the charging cable, anyway.
