Tesla Launches Model Y Refresh In The U.S. And Europe

It’s official. Tesla has finally launched the new Model Y refresh the in the United States as well as in most parts of the Europe.

This launch follows up on the initial launch of Model Y from earlier this month which saw it being released in China and in some other parts of Asia Pacific, as well as in Australia.

For those of you who don’t know, Tesla Model Y is not just the best-selling electric vehicle in the world right now, it’s also the best selling car in the world right now. The refresh model, dubbed Juniper, has a completely redesigned front and back, featuring a Cybercab/Cybertruck-inspired “light bar” instead of the conventional-looking headlights.

New on the outside:
– Redesigned exterior with improved aerodynamics to unlock better range, performance & longevity
– Updated wheels, tires & brakes + retuned suspension for a smoother ride
– Our single, cross-car lamp is the first indirect reflective taillight of its kind in the world

As for interior, Tesla has improved things inside as well. Ambient lights, rear entertainment screen, slightly larger center display and more are order of the day.

New on the inside:
– Ambient interior lighting, refined materials & ventilated first-row seats
– Power folding second-row seats
– Bluetooth-compatible 8″ touchscreen in the back
– Quiet cabin, brought to you by acoustic glass all around
– Invisible speakers for a minimalist aesthetic with maximum audio performance
– Improved connectivity offers more range for Phone Key, clearer calls & faster cellular + WiFi connectivity

Tesla, similar to the Chinese release, is launching a limited-time “Launch” series version of the new Model Y in North America. This exclusive edition features “Launch” badging prominently displayed throughout the vehicle.

Tesla currently offers the new Model Y in Stealth Grey, Pearl White Multi-Coat, Ultra Red, and Quicksilver. All these colors are included in the Launch Series price. However, the Glacier Blue color, which is available in China, is not currently offered in North America or Europe.

While the new Model Y is available to order now, the first deliveries will start somectime in March this year.
