Android 5.0 Jelly Bean Launching In Q3 Of This Year [REPORT]

Paul Morris·March 22, 2012
With Ice Cream Sandwich being introduced to the world during the Google I/O event in may 2011, then officially launched in October, it seems like we really haven't had enough time to get to know the 4.0 version of the OS. Although Android 4.0 has officially been available for over five months, statistics show that not even two percent of Android devices in existence are running Ice Cream Sandwich. The latest data released by Google shows that a meager 1.6% of devices have ICS installed, with those users becoming fragmented due to the varying point releases of version 4.0 they are running.

Google Working On “Assistant” For Android 5.0 Jelly Bean To Rival Siri On iOS [REPORT]

Awais Imran·March 4, 2012
Siri was introduced as one of iPhone 4S’ three major features late last year. As many of you will already know, it is a personal assistant living inside your iPhone that lets you do things like sending texts/emails, setting up reminders/appointments, starting timers, getting directions to local restaurants, shopping malls etc. etc. using the power of your voice. Now, while Microsoft is satisfied with its “TellMe” system on Windows Phone 7, Google is reportedly looking into a personal assistant for Android 5.0 Jelly Bean.

Android 5.0 Jelly Bean Reportedly Set For Summer 2012 Launch

Paul Morris·February 16, 2012
The latest version of the Android operating system, known as Ice Cream Sandwich, was originally displayed to the world in May of last year before being showcased on the Galaxy Nexus smartphone in five months later in October. Four months down the line and it seems that only approximately 1% of Android devices are running versions of Android 4.0, bring about big concerns and showing that the adoption of the latest OS has been a lot slower than expected.
