After a long wait, iPad version of “YourTube” has finally arrived on Cydia by the name of “YourTube HD”. After porting preliminary release of Flash to iPhone, the guy behind Spirit untethered jailbreak tool for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch has now managed to run “real” Flash content right on the jailbroken Apple iPad. The best and the most easiest jailbreak tool has just been updated (unofficially?) to bring support for iTunes 9.2. Earlier when Apple released the final version of iTunes 9.2, it broke the compatibility with Spirit and so this new version brings the required fix to make it compatible with iTunes 9.2. However no new feature has been added. It still does not work with iOS 4 and iPhone 4. Only iOS 3.1.3 and 3.1.2 for iPhone 3GS, 3G, 2G, iPod touch, and iOS 3.2 for iPad is supported.
The developer behind Greenpois0n, p0sixninja has managed to port “Spirit” jailbreak tool to Linux. Spirit is an all-in-one untethered iDevice jailbreak for iPhone 3.1.3, iPad 3.2 and iPod touch 2G/3G. It was released earlier this month for both Windows and Mac OS X.
The BTstack Mouse app for iPhone that we demonstrated on iPad last week has been updated to bring support for iPad. This new version brings stability, bug fixes and performance improvements for the new Apple device. The only disappointment about the update is that it still runs in the native iPhone resolution. MMS was one feature which was missing big time from the original iPhone and iPhone 3G. It was not until Apple released iPhone OS 3.x which brought this feature for the masses. The same now goes for the recently launched iPad 3G as well.
