Full Metal Body Samsung Galaxy Alpha To Take On iPhone 6 This Fall

Ben Reid·July 15, 2014
For a good while now, it has been suggested that Samsung would be coming through with a device finished in a more premium, perhaps metallic material. The Korean outfit has stuck faithfully with polycarbonate through the Galaxy generations, and although the sales figures would suggest that, at a consumer level, this isn't a problem, there's definitely a growing faction of Samsung fans that would love something a little more substantial. With the likes of the iPhone and HTC One series having catered to those with a thirst for the stronger stuff, it now looks like Samsung will finally cave, and according to a new report, the so-called "Galaxy Alpha" will be announced next month.

First Real Photo Of Samsung Galaxy F Surfaces, Here’s What It Looks Like

Ben Reid·July 4, 2014
Even before the arrival of the Galaxy S5 back in April, there was always a lingering feeling that Samsung was also plotting something better, perhaps even offering the metallic finish that so many have craved. The Galaxy F, as it has been referred, has not escaped the headlines despite the release of the Galaxy S5 LTE-A, and now, we have yet another alleged sighting of this most elusive of smartphones. Check out the snap, as well as all of the other details we have on the device, after the leap.

New Galaxy S5 Variant With 2K Display Release Seems Imminent

Ben Reid·April 22, 2014
In the run-up to the showcasing of the Galaxy S5 at the Mobile World Congress back in February, it was rumored that Samsung was preparing two distinctive variations of its flagship handset, and even when the official announcement finally came, reports continued to suggest that something else - something better - was on the horizon. Now, fresh reports seem to indicate that the device is very much real, and although those who've held off the purchase in light of the rumors will feel happy that they did so, one suspects that some early adopters of the Galaxy S5 will feel a tad short-changed.

Here’s What Samsung’s Premium ‘Galaxy F’ May End Up Looking Like [Images]

Ben Reid·March 13, 2014
Samsung's relentless quest to shower the market with as many new smartphones as possible has only continued in 2014. January brought us the announcement of the Galaxy Note 3 Neo range, and last month, the Korean outfit finally took the wraps off the Galaxy S5. As we continue to await the key details of the S5's pricing and availability following the unveiling at Mobile World Congress, there has been persistent talk of a premium Galaxy S5 version of the newly-announced flagship, known in Android circles as the Galaxy F. While there's no word on when it will hit the scene, one designer has, based upon leaks, sought to give us an idea of what's in store with some life-like renders.
