Sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 has been released which can jailbreak iPhone 2G, 3G and iPhone 3GS on the latest iPhone 3.1.3 firmware. One thing which is to be noted here is that it will work with iPhone 3GS only if it has the older bootrom (non-MC model). iPhone 3GS users who have upgraded to the stock 3.1.3 are still out of luck.
George Hotz (aka geohot) has confirmed via his twitter account today that his blackra1n and blacksn0w tools are currently not compatible with the latest iPhone 3.1.3 firmware. This new firmware brings 05.12.01 baseband for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G which restricts jailbreaking and unlocking on newer devices.
The final version of redsn0w 0.9 is now available for download. For those of you who don't know, Redsn0w is an alternative jailbreaking tool to blackra1n for both Windows and Mac. It also enables users to personalize iPhone firmwares with customized boot and recovery logos without having to use iTunes as there are no custom IPSW files involved.
