BBC iPlayer Kids App Lets You Stream And Download Kids-Only TV Shows

Zayed Rehman·April 13, 2016
The British Broadcasting Corporation has today released a dedicated kids version of its popular iPlayer app for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. Aptly titled BBC iPlayer Kids, the app is available for free and gives you complete access to content found in CBeebies and CBBC. This development comes in after Director General Tony Hall had gone on record to state that the two networks could be phased into an online-only future.

BBC iPlayer App Launches On Apple TV 4

Paul Morris·December 14, 2015
BBC has managed to fend off what could have potentially been a full-on license paying revolution in the UK by officially gaining a presence on the tvOS App Store. The BBC iPlayer streaming app is now officially available to download and use on Apple's fourth-generation Apple TV, finally putting to bed any rumors that BBC, which is funded by TV license payers in the United Kingdom, would ignore Apple's tvOS ecosystem and forego its ability to have an official presence on the Apple TV.
