If you are a fan of cricket and happen to own a Windows Phone device, then you are in luck today, for a new app has been released that promises to be right up your street.
ESPN Cricinfo, available to download right now from the Windows Phone Marketplace for free, will bring as much cricket info to your smartphone as you can take, with plenty of features to keep the hardcore cricket fan happy for hours.
The app itself will bring coverage of international matches, ICC tournaments and major domestic leagues including the English and Indian variety. Ball-by-ball commentary is also there, should you like that kind of thing.
Other features included in the ESPN Cricinfo app are:
- Live Game Coverage – commentary, scorecards and photos as the action unfolds, which is great for those fans that just cannot bare to miss a thing.
- Lean Back Mode – an interesting one, this. In this mode the scores fill the phone’s screen, meaning users can place it on a table or desk without having to pear at the screen to be able to read it.
- Push Notifications – never miss a thing with notifications of wickets and score updates sent straight to your phone.
- Watch and Listen – Videos and podcasts right on your Windows Phone handset.
- Built-in Magazine – written content from the ESPN Cricinfo magazine with news, results, standings and records all in one place.
You can download the app right now, and for an initial release it is jam packed with features and quality, especially if you are a real cricket nut. If not, then the chances are this isn’t for you. That said, you’ve probably not got this far into this post, either.
