New Tesla Cybertruck Details Leak Including Tent, Beast Mode, And More

The Tesla Cybertruck is getting closer to being a real thing that people can buy and it seems that the Tesla app has started to be updated to add support for it, too.

A series of new tidbits appear to have leaked thanks to the company’s iPhone app including an optional tent.

That tend will apparently be called Basecamp and will ship with a mattress. It’ll sit atop the Cybertruck’s bed, it seems, but no information on things like pricing has so far been made available. We have seen 3D renders of the tent in action, however.

Another aspect of the electric truck that we didn’t previously know about is Beast Mode, a feature that appears to be something similar to the familiar “Ludicrous” or “Plaid” modes. Again, little information is available.

Other bits of information include the news that the Cybertruck’s lightbar will be an optional extra, while there are references to Cybertruck Solar.

Electrek notes that Tesla CEO Elon Musk did previously say that the company plans to offer a tonneau cover with solar panels built in, so that might be what it will be called.

We can surely expect to learn more soon enough — Tesla is set to hold a Cybertruck delivery event tomorrow, November 30, and that might be when we finally learn about the truck’s specs and most importantly, how much it will cost to buy.
